Facilitating Network Agility of Health Data

CTSC Seminar Series
Date & Time:11/4/2009 from 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM
Location:Directions to: Education Building
Room: 3205
Speaker(s):Will Ross
Project Manager, Redwood MedNet
Description:The majority of health care is delivered in small practice settings, which are less likely to have adopted Electronic Health Records (EHR) than large group practices or other enterprise health care settings. Continued low adoption rates of EHRs in small practice settings are due to several factors, including the unscalable complexity of establishing health data interoperability. Adopting a community network perspective shifts the focus away from cumbersome software installations to the more relevant task of facilitating the agility of electronic health data among patient care teams.
Notes:Lunch provided by the Health Informatics Graduate Program. Please RSVP by Oct. 29th to hipseminars@ucdavis.edu or call (916) 734-8710.
